Arden-Arcade runs from Arden Fair Mall out to the American River Parkway, and my office on Alhambra Blvd sits close enough that clients coming from Watt, Fulton, or Fair Oaks Blvd are usually looking at a straightforward drive down Arden Way, not a cross-town production.
In-person, or let’s do it remotely
I’ll be straight with you: I see clients in person at my office in East Sacramento, not out in Arden-Arcade itself — traveling out that way for sessions isn’t something I do. If you’re up for the drive down Arden Way or El Camino, my office is easy to get to (see below), and once you’re here, Walk-and-Talk sessions at McKinley Park are an option instead of sitting in a chair. If the drive doesn’t work for your week, remote video sessions cover the same ground — same me, same approach, just on a screen.
Who I work with
Individuals, couples, families, and teens, with a specialty in adolescent boys and men — with or without a partner. I also run a dedicated Teacher Therapy track, which matters in a neighborhood with a lot of families connected to the San Juan and Sacramento City school districts.
Why I do this the way I do it
I’m not the “silent stare and nod” type of therapist, and that’s on purpose. At 17, I was in a near-fatal car accident with a drunk driver and came out with PTSD I didn’t understand at the time. My mom pushed me into therapy — I hated it and quit. Years later, I gave it a real shot, and the therapist who actually helped me was the one who engaged, asked real questions, and gave me real feedback instead of just nodding. That’s the therapist I try to be now.
Getting to my office
418 B Alhambra Blvd is a short drive down Arden Way or El Camino from most of Arden-Arcade, with easy access off Business 80 once you’re close. If that’s not realistic some weeks, I also see clients remotely anywhere in California — same approach, just on a screen.
