Kelly Richardson is a Marriage and Family Therapist who works locally (in Sacramento, for those of you out-of-town). She and I have emailed a bit, and I’ve been impressed with her work as a therapist. Her column “Teen Talk”appears on Tuesdays in The Bee and is a consistently solid resource for teens (although my guess is that the majority of her readers are parents.) Today’s article is focused on a letter from a high school girl whose boyfriend just left for college in another state.
I think what she writes provides a good guide for how parents can guide their teens. Her articles also provide an opportunity for dialogue between parents and teens.
