# Sacramento-Area Therapy Locations

My office sits at [418 B Alhambra Blvd](https://maps.app.goo.gl/kyz5LgcAh1wZsRHVA), right on the line between East Sacramento and Midtown, a block from [McKinley Park](https://www.cityofsacramento.gov/ypce/parks/park-directory/w-x/william-mckinley-park). That’s home base — but “come see Steve” means something different depending on which part of the Sacramento area you’re coming from, so I’ve broken it out by neighborhood below.

A few things stay true no matter where you’re starting from:

- **In-person sessions** happen at my office in East Sacramento, an easy walk or short drive from most of the central city.
- [**Walk-and-Talk sessions**](https://rivercitycounseling.com/sacramento-counseling-services/outdoor-walk-and-talk-therapy-in-sacramento-who-it-helps-most/) are available for clients who’d rather move than sit in a chair — and depending on your neighborhood, that might mean McKinley Park, William Land Park, the [American River Parkway](https://regionalparks.saccounty.gov/us/en/parks/american-river-parkway.html#gsc.tab=0), or wherever’s actually convenient for you. I’ll meet you where it makes sense.
- **Remote video sessions** are available anywhere in California, full stop, if a drive isn’t realistic on a given week.

## Find your neighborhood

**[East Sacramento](/therapy/east-sacramento)**: My actual neighborhood. The office is a block from McKinley Park, and most of East Sac (including the Fabulous Forties and River Park) is a short walk or bike ride away.

**[Midtown Sacramento](/therapy/midtown-sacramento)**: The Grid’s eastern edge runs right along Alhambra Blvd, the same street as my office. If you’re anywhere between 16th Street and the river, you’re close.

**[Land Park](/therapy/land-park):** A straightforward drive up Freeport or Riverside, with William Land Park itself as one of the better Walk-and-Talk settings in the city if you’d rather meet outdoors.

**[Arden](https://rivercitycounseling.com/locations/therapy-in-arden-sacramento-ca/)**: Reachable via Arden Way or El Camino without much freeway driving, and close enough to the American River Parkway that we can do a session along the river if that suits you better than an office.

**[Carmichael](https://rivercitycounseling.com/therapy-in-carmichael-ca/)**: The furthest out, honestly — about 20 minutes via Fair Oaks Blvd. Worth it for some clients for the Walk-and-Talk options near Ancil Hoffman Park; for others, remote sessions fill the gap between occasional in-person visits.

## Don’t see your neighborhood?

If you’re elsewhere in the Sacramento area, or anywhere else in [California](https://www.ca.gov/), that’s not a dealbreaker. Remote sessions work the same way as in-person ones do: individuals, couples, teens, and families- same approach, just on a screen instead of in the office or on a trail.
